witnessing the volcanic eruption of the Fuego volcano in Guatemala on 5th May 2017
Trekking Volcano Acatenango, one of the highest volcano Guatemalas during an overlander tour with Dragoman, camping the night in 3.200m during heavy rain and wind, but have a look at the Volcano de Fuego just 3 km away:
Such an incredible experiance! Lava eruptions all night long, a thunderstorm and fantastic explosions with massive dark ash clouds all morning long.
Having breakfast with hot chocolate and cheese sausage made on a wooden stick over the camp fire with new friends and beeing a happy volcano trekker!
Feeling so blessed and fortunated getting and taking this chance to make one lifetime dream come true. I will never forget about this magical and mystic night and the following morning.
